Chapter 4

1 MOREOVER he made an altar of brass, twenty cubits its length and twenty cubits its breadth and ten cubits its height.

2 land he made a molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in shape, and five cubits its height and thirty cubits its circumference.

3 And it stood upon twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing south, three facing west, and three facing east; and the sea was set above them, and their hinder parts were inward.

4 And the thickness of it was a handbreadth, and its brim was round like the brim of a cup, very beautiful.

5 And he made also ten poles, and put five on the right hand and five on the left, to carry with them the altar of burnt offering.

6 And he made ten lavers of brass, and put five on the right hand and five on the left, so that the priests might wash their hands and their feet in them.

7 And he made ten candlesticks of gold according to their specifications, and set them in the temple, five on the right hand and five on the left.

8 He made also ten tables, and placed them in the temple, five on the right side and five on the left. And he made a hundred basins of fine gold.

9 Furthermore he made a large court for the priests and for the Levites, and overlaid the doors and the bars with brass.

10 And he set the sea on the right side of the north end, over against the south.

11 And Hiram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basins. And Hiram finished the work that he was to make for King Solomon for the house of God;

12 To wit, the two pillars and the knobs and the capitals which were on the top of the two pillars, and the two wreaths to cover the two knobs of the capitals which were on the top of the pillars;

13 And four hundred pomegranates on the two wreaths; two rows of pomegranates on each wreath, to cover the two knobs of the capitals which were upon the pillars.

14 He made also bases, and lavers made he upon the bases;

15 One sea, and twelve oxen under it.

16 The pots also and the shovels and the fleshhooks and all their instruments did Hiram make for King Solomon, for the house of the LORD, of bright brass.

17 In the plain of Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zeredathah.

18 Thus Solomon made all these vessels in great abundance; for the weight of these vessels of brass that Solomon made could not be found out.

19 And Solomon made all the vessels that were for the house of God, the golden altar also, and the tables whereon the shewbread was set;

20 Moreover the candlesticks with their lamps, that they should burn after the manner before the oracle, of pure gold;

21 And the flowers and the lamps and the tongs made he of gold, and that perfect gold;

22 And the snuffers and the basins and the spoons and the censers, of pure gold; and the entry of the house, the inner doors thereof for the most holy place, and the doors of the house of the temple, were of gold.

3 Und5439 Ochsenbilder waren3332 unter ihm umher5437; und es1823 waren zwo Riegen Knoten1241 um5362 das Meer3220 her5439 (das zehn6235 Ellen520 weit war), die mit angegossen waren.

4 Es1004 stund aber also auf5975 den zwölf6240 Ochsen1241, daß drei7969 gewandt6437 waren gegen6437 Mitternacht6828, drei7969 gegen6437 Abend3220, drei7969 gegen4217 Mittag5045 und drei7969 gegen Morgen und das Meer3220 oben4605 auf6437 ihnen; und all ihr Hinterstes war inwendig268.

7 Er machte6213 auch zehn6235 güldene Leuchter4501, wie sie sein sollten, und setzte5414 sie in den Tempel1964, fünf2568 zur Rechten4941 und fünf2568 zur Linken8040.

12 nämlich die zwo Säulen5982 mit den Bäuchen und Knäufen oben7218 auf beiden Säulen5982 und beide8147 gewundene Reife3805, zu bedecken3680 beide8147 Bäuche der Knäufe3805 oben7218 auf den Säulen5982,

14 Auch machte6213 er die Gestühle4350 und6213 die Kessel3595 auf den Gestühlen4350

17 In der Gegend3603 des Jordans3383 ließ sie der König4428 gießen3332 in dicker5645 Erde127, zwischen Suchoth und Zaredatha6868.
